City Council Tables Sign Ordinance Prior To Second Reading

Glasgow’s City Council meeting included a presentation by Richard Tutt of American Engineers on the city’s Municipal Separate Storm Water Program also known as MS4...

Abigail that Richard spoke of is Abigail Raines, the state MS4 Coordinator for our region. She as well shared information about the city’s obligations and further information about the program.

 

In other business, the second reading of the ordinance regulating signs in Glasgow was to have been held, however, that second reading did not take place. Sign Committee Chair Linda Wells explained that to WCLU News...

Other agenda business addressed included the appointing of Richard Benningfield to the Code Enforcement Board to fill the unexpired 3 year term of Ledean Hamilton which ends August 31, 2009.

 

There were also Municipal Orders re-appointing Anne Grant Underwood and Nancy Poynter to the Code Enforcement Board for 3 year terms to expire July 31, 2011. Danny Gibson was re-appointed to the Section 8 Community Development Agency Board of Directors for a 4 year term ending November 30, 2012 , and Virginia Hagan was re-appointed to the Housing Authority of Glasgow Board of Directors for a 4 year term ending August 31, 2012.

 
Glasgow Man Injured In Motorcycle Crash

A motorcycle crash in Butler County sent a Glasgow man and his passenger the hospital.

 

44 year old William Terrell was Southbound on Ky 185 when he lost control in a curve, went off the right shoulder of the roadway, down an embankment and struck a tree. William Terrell was admitted to the hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries. His passenger, 42 year old Lisa Terrell was treated and released.

 

The Kentucky State Police Report notes that both were wearing helmets.
